Álex Baena to Aston Villa?

Aston Villa have set their sights on Villarreal's midfield maestro Alex Baena as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
The 22-year-old Spaniard has caught the eye of Villa manager Unai Emery, who previously worked with Baena during his time at Villarreal.
Baena has been in scintillating form this season, leading La Liga in assists with an impressive tally of 13 across all competitions. His performances have not gone unnoticed, as he recently earned his first cap for the Spanish national team in August 2023.
The young midfielder's ability to operate in four different attacking positions has drawn praise from journalist Josh Bunting, who described Baena as a "beautiful technician."
